Dimensional Dreams Mini is a small version of the original shadowbox. This Shiny Design Lab product was meticulously designed, laser cut, assembled, at our home in Portland. Two designs are currently available:

Mandelbrot:
The Mandelbrot set is an iconic, infinitely complex 2D mathematical shape defined by a simple, iterative equation 𝑧𝑛+1=𝑧2𝑛+𝑐 plotted on the complex plane.It reveals a "self-similar" fractal pattern where zooming into the boundary uncovers, forever, smaller, distorted, or completely new versions of the main cardioid shape. This design was created by tracing the full 2D mandelbrot shape, resized into 8 layers. Each layer is laser cut out of cardstock, and installed into a custom-made wooden box. Under the layers is a matrix of 64 LEDS, controlled by a Pixelblaze microcontroller. Simply connect to the “Dimensional Dreams Mini” wifi, and scan the QR code on the back of the box to change the colors and patterns, or set create your own playlist.
